唐太宗李世民寫有“守歲”詩：直到今天，人們還習(xí)慣在除夕之夜守歲迎新。“寒辭去冬雪，暖帶入春風(fēng)”。

欲知垂盡歲，有似赴壑蛇。 修鱗半已沒，去意誰能遮。 況欲系其尾，雖勤知奈何。 兒童強(qiáng)不睡，相守夜歡嘩。晨雞且勿唱，更鼓畏添撾。 坐久燈燼落，起看北斗斜。 明 年豈無年，心事恐蹉跎。 努力盡今夕，少年猶可夸。蘇軾的一首《守歲》也寫出了對(duì)即將逝去的舊歲留戀之情。
